Being an SLP can be incredibly isolating.

You're managing complex patients. You're interpreting studies, writing reports, making recommendations that directly affect what someone eats and drinks for the rest of their life. And most days, you're doing all of that alone with no one down the hall who does what you do, no one to bounce a tough case off of, and no one to tell you whether your clinical reasoning is on track or not.
